usually i'm just here to vibe but given recent discourse,,,
✦ i consume content with problematic elements (ex: 2ha). my stances on this are:
i consume critically and assume that others can too.
enjoying content with problematic tropes =/= endorsing and/or practicing said problematic tropes, and/or agreeing with how the author may have handled them in-text.
however, i DO stand against the fetishization, romanticization, or excusing of problematic tropes in fandom, and speaking over fandom critiques from people whose identity, sexuality, culture, and so on are the subject of fandom content, like wlw/mlm on the treatment of wlw/mlm, POCs on the treatment of POCs.
i acknowledge there's a pretty small chance of me actually changing someone's mind online, so usually i'll just block and move on. i prefer that if you see this and disagree with it, that you just block me and move on as well so we don't waste each other's time with discourse that won't actually change either of our minds.
